Family and Friends

Last week we did school pics for co-op. We had planned to take pictures outside at church but it rained all morning. We put up a backdrop and tried to take some pics. These are my girls!

Are we done yet?

Peek-a-booYesterday, my good friend from years ago arrived in town. They live in the Cayman Islands and their Island was hit so bad by hurricane Paloma that she and the children had to leave the island. Ryan stayed behind to help clean up and keep the church going. April and the kids are staying in our prophet's quarters. They are having fun in the play room (our nursery;)

Lipstick and Laminate!

My day was just one of those days that your child gets into everything. I have been working on things for our ladies meeting tomorrow night and was not paying attention to what Abigail was doing. I should have known something was wrong when she was quiet ;) She had gotten into my purse and found my lipstick. She had to pick the one lipstick that I use the most. She must have the same taste in lip color as I do!
Then I went to town to get my hard work on my extra large candy bars laminated. I went to the teacher store I always go to. They were still out of laminate. I thought that by now she would have had some. It has been over a month. She can't get it right now since the hurricane in TX. The lady there told me of another store in town by Auto Zone that had advertised laminating. I could try there since I needed it right away. I went right down the road and stopped at the store. It was a very scary place. When I walked in I was the only white person in a dark room with women on large flat screen computers lined on both sides of the room and a rough looking black man at the front counter that didn't seem to work there. It reeked of smoke and the women all looked like they were either telemarketers or playing games. It was really weird. Finally a women came to help me and she had piercings all in her face and said that they were out of laminate as well. What was funny, I didn't see a laminating machine anywhere, or copier or anything. It was supposed to be some kind of business store. It really scared me! I also heard that Office Max laminated. WELL!!!!!! They were out too!!!!!!!!! But they charged $4 a foot so I would not have done it there even if they had it. It is only $1 a for at the teacher store!!!! So needless to say I had to put them up without the protection of laminate. When I got home I was trying to get something for the girls to eat before soccer since my chicken wasn't done and I took my eyes off Abigail for one second and she got a paint pen off the table and was painting her lips white!!! AHHHHHHH! You would think she would taste it and realize something wasn't right. Well, gotta go do more deco for tomorrow!

Who did we support?

While watching the TV coverage on the elections the girls got up on the coffee table and started chanting "John McCain!"

New Kind of Baby Carrier

My girls are so innovative. Chey had her old backpack out and Abigail climbed into it. She was content, so Chey put a pillow behind her head and made her comfortable. She even took her into Walmart like this. Hey! I didn't have to fight with her as much, having to carry her and such.

This morning she wanted to get in the new carrier again. This time with the message neck pillow. She walked around with it on for about an hour.

The other day, the girls went out for their bug hunt. They were all bundled up. :-)
