Busy last week and Last nights craft.

Bows, bows, and more bows!!!! I don't even know how many I made in all. This was the third set. All I know is it was more than 30. Last week I made bows for Johnathan and Jennifer's wedding Saturday. I wasn't sure I liked the colors until I saw the whole thing together. It was beautiful. I also made a cover for the stage at the fellowship building. It is covered with grey carpet but it won't come clean and the back of it isn't covered all the way. It would not have worked in the middle of the room like they wanted for the wedding. So Janet bought vinyl to cover it but we knew a normal sewing machine would not sew it. Daddy Weathers had just given Ken an industrial sewing machine not knowing we would use it so soon. I worked on it for 2 days and at night I worked on the bows while the girls were asleep and I should have been ;) This is the very dependable machine.

My handiwork. Mom helped me think things through, measure, mark, and cut what was supposed to be cut. THANKS MOM!!!!!!! She is my lifeline when it comes to things like this (and cooking). I didn't get a final picture of the cake and everything on the stage. What was I thinking?

Last night Naomi begged to paint something. So I pulled out our new project. I got some of the pumpkins ready to paint and the girls had a ball. As you can see they had it all over. They were so particular. They worked so hard.

Park, Soccer Practice, and Revival

Last week we went to the park several times to play, walk the track, and practice soccer. The girls are playing upward soccer this year. They wanted to and I told them to pray that God would supply the money for them to go. A week later we received some money from Grandma and Gramps for school. Thanks Ma and Pops!!! They are so excited. We practiced for a little while.
Pam and Meaghan watched the little ones. We walk ed for a while too.
Then the guys got tired of soccer and played something a little less active. Botchie ball is played with colored balls and a small ball that you have to get them closest too. It is sort of like horseshoes with balls. They had fun with it.

Abigail showed me she is a big girl and can climb up the playground by herself.

Then Abigail and Jophie came over and tried to "help" and made Alanna mad. She moved to the other side of the sandbox.

MONDAY
Monday, Naomi had her first soccer practice. She loved it! She found out her friend Brooke from church is on her team. They are the only girls on their team. :)

We had to leave practice early because we had revival with Larry Brown! I got their 10 minutes before the service started and had to park clear down by the road! It was a very good service! He preached on When God turns it around. Then Tuesday night he preached on Job 1 and
3 ingredients the devil found at Job's house that we need in our lives.
1. He found a hedge around his property
God had a hedge around him. God had to allowed Satan to touch the things he did. God didn't allow Satan to take his life.
2. He found a heart he couldn't provoke.
In less that 2 minutes Job lost everything! Bro. Brown read the verses when the servants were coming to give bad news to Job. And at the end of each verse it says "and while he was yet speaking, another servant came...." I hadn't thought of it as being that fast. It took about 1 min. 40 seconds. When all that was over the Bible says that he went out and worshipped God. Wow! Satan couldn't provoke Job's heart to deny God.
Bro. Brown's house burned to the ground a few months ago. He was at church when it happened and the whole church came and wept with him while they watched 40 years go up in flames. The news anchor asked him to take a minute and tell how he felt. He said, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. BLESSED, BLESSED, BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD! If you have never heard Bro. Brown you wouldn't' understand how he very Loudly said that. He said they didn't even stick around to let him finish. He worshipped in one of the hardest time of his life. To God be the glory!
3. He found a harvest he couldn't hinder.
Job ended up with much more that he started with. God blessed him so much for his faithfulness. The Devil couldn't hinder what God was going to give Job in the end.
Bro. Brown said that God has blessed him so much more since the fire. He has so much more that he could have imagined.

I really got a blessing from that. We all need these things in our lives.

Revival Meeting

I had the privilege of singing at Bro. Boone's church with our ladies trio Monday night and with the Voices of Faith Tuesday night. This couple sang before us Monday night and the gentleman wrote the song. It was very different. I enjoyed it and hope you will too. I messed up the video so I am going to put the good part of it on. The preacher both nights was Bro. Sam DeLaney. He was from Tuskaloosa, AL. When he started preaching I thought "That is a very odd Alabama accent. Then, A few sentences in, I really thought, "Where in the world is he from?" Later in the preaching he told us that he was originally from Ireland. He preached from the verse in Psalm that says, "search me, O God, and know my heart today. I really got a blessing from it. Tuesday night was on how we in America are Careless. Careless and Care Less attitudes are very dangerous. It was so good! I wish I could just put the whole service on video.

Have you ever said, "She's gone," when you see a baby asleep? Some people put it that way. Well, let me tell you about last night. Naomi had not had a nap all day and Sunday night in church, Ron gave Naomi 2 quarters for the offering. He always gives her something to put in. She was getting so sleepy and the choir had not even come out of the choir yet. She looked at Ron and handed him the quarters and said, "I'm gone" and fell asleep! It was so funny when Mom told me. She was passed out on the pew.

On the way home Naomi always wants to drive when we get on our driveway. She always begs and Abigail got in on the driving Sunday night. They were having such a good time I thought I'd take a picture.

"Mom, you shoulda...".

I wasn't feeling well today and my child always seems to say some crazy things. I was making lunch and Abigail kept trying to type on my computer. I told her no and popped her hand. She is very stubborn and did it again. I told her no again and Naomi said, "Mom, you shoulda told yourself not to have another baby. You didn't need another baby. You shoulda told yourself you didn't need another baby." I just had to laugh at her. Then Naomi and Abigial decided to feed the goldfish and dumped food into the fish tank so I had to change the water and clean it. I realized that my plants needed water. I started to water my plants and one of them started to run out the tray on the bottom. Naomi piped up again and says, "Mom, you shoulda done what the TV said!" My response was, "What did the TV tell me to do?" "You know. Get those globe things. It wouldn't do that." All I could say was, "Your right honey", and laugh. She cracks me up!

Well, it has been a while since I posted and have a few pictures to share. Saturday at bus ministry we had music day and the teens in church played and showed their instruments. The whole point was to show all the ways to please God with our music. The children really enjoyed it and I will try to post a video later.

Just when we were getting ready to leave Naomi busted on the hard cement floor and cut her lip a little. She was so pitiful as you can see and she is a drama QUEEN already.

Sunday night we had an afterglow for our young married class to discuss our new weight loss plan. We are having a contest between couples in our class to see who can loose the most and get the most points, doing exercise, drinking 64 oz. of water and doing Devotions and things. We are really excited and praying for each other. These children were singing at the top of their lungs and Brooke was the director. They were so cute.

Our contest will go until February and I will hopefully have lost a lot of weight. Please pray for us all.

Water Day, Bible Verses, and Lights Out!

Last Saturday we had Water Day for our bus kids before they went back to school. Jeremy, a teen from church that felt God calling him to preach on the mission trip to Puerto Rico, preached to the bus kids. He did an excellent job.

Last Sunday Naomi's Sunday School class said their verses that they have learned all year. I don't know how many they did but I think it was 12. I wish I could put the video up but it just won't work!
They did so good! I was so proud of my little girl! She was one of the only ones actually saying the verses.
Last week we had a bad storm that knocked the power out for a few hours. We still had our computers to play with and the girls enjoyed using the candles and flashlights. They ended up sleeping on the couch.
